There is hope, but Freedom is not served on a silver platter.

Freedom does not die easily – not even for those born in captivity – except in one, specific and devastating circumstance.

Before we can build a better future, we must first be willing to imagine one.

The lesson, if we can still call it that, continues to remain unlearned. A collective problem - a collective mess, really - can only be solved collectively. Superman, God, or the wish-granting Jinn will not intervene. Not this time. Not ever. THAT is the lesson.
