Our inaugural production, "Are We There Yet?", is a planned 10–12 episode global documentary series that aims to feature young people from all 195 UN-recognized countries. Speaking in their own languages and from their own cultural perspectives, participants will share their visions for a future society built around human dignity, environmental stewardship, cooperation, education, health, peace, and collective well-being.
Slow and steady. The journey of a Documentary project is a marathon, not a sprint. If one rushes into it, the stress overcomes the joy of the process of creating something unique and valuable. By week 3 of our updates, Project FORWARD has moved...forward, with the addition of its first financial contribution and two wonderful sponsors helping our backend tech infrastructure.
I have also released the Adopt-A-Country contibution plan, which basically is a search for 195 Founding Patrons, one for each country featured in the project. Should I be successful in bringing 195 contributors into the project, I will be thrilled to say that we are fully funded.
But not just yet :)
Why this matters?
Your contribution will help secure sustainability and continuity for a full year. You will have full access to every developmental step taken, priority access to live online events, and full access to media being produced. More so, “Adopt-A-Country contributors will be listed (unless opted out) as founding patrons of the project.
One of the most important aspect of this project is not its scale, but its intent. Having a representative from each country on Earth is no small feat, having the entire documentary series translated in all major languages and then expanding to all official languages makes it even more extraordinary. Streaming the entire series independently and free of alghoritms and advertising tracking is an expensive and worthy approach to making sure the project meets high educational standards.
All of this is crucially important, but the real power, the real value, comes from the project being an intentional effort to open multi-national civic conversations about the future, and to invite a cross-cultural cooperation of humanity's most valuable "asset" - our young thinkers and dreamers around the world.
Think about it: Project FORWARD aims to be a beacon of hope and vision for a better future, grow into a collaborative independent media platform, and aspire to inspire everyone to not only dream, but also analyze ways to achieve those dreams.
When you contribute, you help the project become what it was dreamt to become. When you contributre, you become part of a wonderful journey of hope. When you contribute, you help designing blueprints for action.
So this is my call to you to contribute either monthly ($15/mo for one year) or as a one off contribution of $195. Call your friends as well. Make this a Movement.
Then, if you wish, don't just stop there. Share the project with people who understand and cherish progress, send me feedback and ideas, get involved in the many ways I need help with to make this happen. I cannot do this alone. Nobody ever does something important by themselves. Eventually, we all need help and every project needs a village, a community of like-minded dreamers and doers. And I need YOU.
