Week 2 of Project: FORWARD brought mostly technical progress. The project's website is now almost complete - with a Roadmap and a Volunteer Page to be released next.
The Roadmap will reflect the progress being made with the development of the project, and the Volunteer Page will elaborate on the many ways everyone can help bring this project to fruition.
These days I have been analyzing how to best create an outreach campaign, focused on the immediate needs which are financial support and community awareness and building. These are the most important milestones to be accomplished as the project begins its journey.
Financial support is important because of a couple of evident reasons, but one reason especially stands out: as the project progresses, and this being a media-heavy endeavor, it would be catastrophic to the project not have secured financial backing to cover the upcoming costs of post-production AND media hosting/streaming.
One of the choices I made from the beginning was to not seek funds from corporations, but to rather approach this in a way that also would build a community of like-minded people from across the world. Because of this choice, the project will have little appeal to for-profit companies, especially since the only advertising accepted will have to be connected to a valid, confirmed good cause.
Just like for a newborn, these first weeks are crucial for the life of the project, so every single financial contribution will literally be used to keep Project: FORWARD moving...forward.

Next in the life of the project is the larger than life task to attract volunteers. Volunteering is equally crucial to the sustainability and growth of the project and everyone can play a very important role in it. The website page will explore and list the many ways in which you can help, but at this very beginning what is needed is exposure, awareness, feedback, and even content participation. Are you in?

Project: FORWARD is mostly a civic and community project. The aim is not to entertain, but to acknowledge humanity's ultimate dreams for the future while at the same time increasing awareness about the options and possibilities we all have at hand, right now, to make sure those dreams do not fade away.
The other "secret" aim of the project is to open up a vast realm of communication and collaboration across the entire world.
Think of Project: FORWARD as a lighthouse, a beacon of hope and also a call to everyone navigating life with the future in mind.
